Federal Universal Service Fund (USF)

The Federal Universal Service Fund (USF), established by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), supports access to telecommunications and broadband services for rural and high-cost areas, low-income households, rural healthcare facilities, and schools and libraries. All telecommunications and interconnected VoIP providers, including VoIPNETICS, are required to contribute to the federal USF, and these contributions may be passed on to customers. The FCC determines the USF rate on a quarterly basis, and it is subject to change.
